Laying hens need a ration they can count on every day, and this 16% layer pellet is built for that job. Start feeding it the day the first egg lands, keep the feeder stocked, and your flock gets a complete ration with the protein and minerals layers depend on.
The mini pellets are a practical size for laying hens, and the 50 lb bag gives you enough on hand to get through the busy weeks without a run to the store. Set a free-choice oyster shell feeder beside it for the extra calcium that strong eggshells need.

Start the pellets when the first egg is laid, and feed them as the sole ration. Keep feeders clean and at least half full at all times. A laying hen typically eats about a quarter to a third of a pound a day.
Follow label directions. Always keep feed in a clean, cool, and dry location. Store in an area free of insects and rodents. WARNING: DO NOT feed moldy or insect infested feed to animals as it may cause illness, abortion, or death.
Stock up before the flock hits lay, so the first egg never catches you short.
This is a complete and balanced ration. Feed free choice from the time the first egg is laid throughout the time of egg production. Always provide plenty of fresh water.

Feed as the sole ration to laying chickens at the onset of egg production (chickens 16 to 18 weeks of age). At a minimum, keep feeders half full. Consumption can vary depending upon the time of year, production stage of the animals, and other feed provided. Scratch grain is not required but can be useful as long as it does not exceed 10% of the total diet. AMC Oyster Shell and Grit can also be provided free choice in addition to this feed. Provide fresh, clean water and shelter at all times.
