A 10 oz pouch of CORID 20% soluble powder for use as an aid in treatment and prevention of bovine coccidiosis in calves, as directed by its approved label.
What this pouch is for
CORID 20% Soluble Powder contains amprolium and is labeled as an aid in the treatment and prevention of bovine coccidiosis caused by Eimeria bovis and E. zurnii in calves. It is a veterinary drug for cattle calves, not a general-purpose livestock supplement. The current label identifies it as an over-the-counter animal drug approved under NADA 033-165. Use it only for the species and purpose stated on the label.
Choose the right formulation
This is the 10 oz (283.5 g) soluble powder pouch. The product dissolves for administration through drinking water or as an oral drench. The manufacturer also sells other CORID formulations, including oral solution and medicated feed products. Those products have different concentrations and directions. Check the front panel and full label before mixing; do not substitute a dose or volume from another formulation.
Follow the complete label
The label gives separate mixing and administration directions for the five-day treatment program and the 21-day prevention program. The amount varies by route, program, water volume and animal body weight. For a drench, dosing is weight-based and uses a prepared solution. For drinking water, the medicated water must be the only source during the labeled course. Treatment is directed on a group basis when calves are exposed. Read the label before opening the pouch, measure with suitable equipment and contact a veterinarian when the diagnosis or treatment plan is uncertain.
Withdrawal and handling
Observe the label’s 24-hour withdrawal before slaughter. Do not use in calves that will be processed for veal. Keep the pouch and all drugs out of children’s reach, and do not use in humans. The label says to store the product between 5 and 25°C (41 to 77°F), with only brief excursions to 40°C (104°F). California classifies it as a restricted drug, use only as directed. Keep the package label available with the treatment record.
Practical recordkeeping
Record the animal group, start date, selected labeled program, amount prepared, route, and final treatment date. Follow the label’s directions for fresh drinking water and the limited storage time for prepared stock or drench solutions. Keep mixing containers clearly labeled and separate from human food or drink equipment. If a calf’s condition worsens or does not improve, seek veterinary guidance rather than extending or repeating treatment on your own.

Directions for use
Mix CORID daily with fresh drinking water. Stock solution for water proportioners may be stored in a clean, closed, labeled container for up to 3 days.
5-DAY TREATMENT: Add CORID 20% Soluble Powder to drinking water at the rate of 4 oz/50 gal. One 10 oz pack to 125 gallons of water. For use in automatic water proportioners that meter 1 fl oz of stock solution per gallon of drinking water, add 1 bag (10 oz) in 1 gallon of water to make stock solution. At the usual rate of water consumption, this will provide an intake of approximately 10 mg amprolium/kg (2.2 lb) body weight. Offer this solution as the only source of water for 5 days. Treatment should be on a herd basis only; when one or more calves show signs of coccidiosis, it is likely that the rest of the group has been exposed, and all calves in the group should be treated.
21-DAY PREVENTION: During periods of exposure or when experience indicates that coccidiosis is likely to be a hazard, add CORID 20% Soluble Powder to drinking water at the rate of 4 oz/100 gal. One 10 oz pack to 250 gallons of water. For use in automatic water proportioners that meter 1 fl oz of stock solution per gallon of drinking water, add 1/2 bag (5 oz) in 1 gallon of water to make stock solution. At usual rates of water consumption, this will provide an intake of approximately 5 mg amprolium/kg (2.2 lb) body weight. Offer this solution as the only source of water for 21 days.
AS A DRENCH CORID drench solutions may be stored in a clean, closed, labeled container for up to 3 days.
5-DAY TREATMENT: Add 3 oz CORID 20% Soluble Powder to 1 qt (32 fl oz) of water and, with a dose syringe, give 1 fl oz of this solution for each 100 lb (45 kg) body weight. This will provide a dose of approximately 10 mg amprolium/kg (2.2 lb) body weight. Give daily for 5 days. Treatment should be on a herd basis only; when one or more calves show signs of coccidiosis, it is likely that the rest of the group has been exposed, and all calves in the group should be treated.
21-DAY PREVENTION: Add 1.5 oz CORID 20% Soluble Powder to 1 qt (32 fl oz) of water and, with a dose syringe, give 1 fl oz of this solution for each 100 lb (45 kg) body weight. This will provide a dose of approximately 5 mg amprolium/kg (2.2 lb) body weight. Give daily for 21 days.
There are 200 mg of amprolium in every 1 gram of CORID 20% Soluble Powder. 1 oz = 3 1/2 measuring tablespoonsful. 1 oz = 28.35 grams.
