It is a pelleted pre- and probiotic built around one live yeast strain, Saccharomyces cerevisiae CNCM I-1077, chosen from hundreds screened in the lab for how it behaves in the horse's hindgut.

Microencapsulation is the point. The coating carries the live yeast past the stomach so it reaches the hindgut, where it feeds the fiber-digesting bacteria your horse already has.
