You've got a horse that holds weight on air, and hay that doesn't test the same from one cutting to the next. Balancer covers what hay and pasture leave short, and it does it at a low feeding rate, so you're not stacking calories on a horse that already carries plenty. Whole grain free, low in starch and sugar, and made to sit alongside hay, pasture or an unfortified grain mix instead of replacing it.
It started out for broodmares and growing horses, but the easy keeper and the metabolic horse are the ones that get the most from it. The fortification is deep: lysine, methionine, threonine and tryptophan, plus copper, zinc, selenium and vitamin E, with live yeast and enzymes. It supports immune function, heat stress, coat and hoof health, and insulin sensitivity.
Highlights
- Balances hay, pasture and unfortified grain
- Low starch and sugar for easy keepers
- Small feeding rate keeps calories down
- Whole grain free formula
- Live yeast and enzymes in the mix
- Zinc, copper and biotin for coat and hooves

How to feed it
The feeding rates by weight and work level are printed with the feeding chart for this feed.
Good to know
- Balancer is the vitamin and mineral side of the ration, not the meal. Keep good hay or pasture in front of him first, then add balancer on top.
- If it takes more than the listed rate to hold condition, move up to a lite, performance or senior feed rather than doubling the balancer.
- Fixed ingredient formulas mean what you feed in March matches what you fed last fall.
Hay quality shifts with the weather. Keeping balancer in the barn keeps the ration steady.
Cautions
Follow label directions. Chromium supplementation should not exceed 4 mg per day. Feeding added Selenium at levels in excess of 0.30 ppm in the total diet is prohibited. Triple Crown Balancer does not exceed an intake of 3 mg of added Selenium per head per day when fed as directed. Product contains added Copper; do not feed to sheep.

The above feeding recommendations assume a horse is consuming a minimum of 1.50 to 2% of its body weight in hay or pasture for appropriate vitamin/mineral fortification according to body weight. Horse’s needs may vary based on age, work level, metabolism, weather and other factors.
For desired body condition, adjust the amount of forage or unfortified concentrate inclusion (oats, corn, barley, rice bran, beet pulp) up or down to adjust caloric intake. If more than the recommended amount of Triple Crown Balancer is needed to maintain body condition, consider switching to Triple Crown Lite or adding a Triple Crown performance or senior feed.
NOTE: Provide salt and plenty of fresh, clean water at all times. Keep product fresh in cool, dry storage. Examine product daily. DO NOT use if old, moldy or contaminated with insects.
CAUTION: Follow label directions. Chromium supplementation should not exceed 4 mg per day. Feeding added Selenium at levels in excess of 0.30 ppm in the total diet is prohibited. Triple Crown Balancer does not exceed an intake of 3 mg of added Selenium per head per day when fed as directed. Product contains Copper; do not feed to sheep.
