Some horses get round on hay and a whiff of grass. This pellet is for that horse: an easy keeper, a pony or a mini that needs vitamins and minerals without a bucket of grain pushing more weight on. It leaves out whole grain and molasses and keeps starch and sugar low, so the ration stays small and the forage does the work.
It is also built for horses with metabolic disease and those prone to founder and laminitis. Feed it alongside hay or pasture, salt and clean water, and use the feeding chart for your horse's body weight. For a horse with metabolic disease or a history of founder, run the plan by your vet.
Highlights
- Low feeding rate keeps the scoop small
- Whole grain and molasses free
- Low starch and sugar
- Pelleted
- Supplies vitamins and minerals without pushing extra weight
- Built for easy keepers, ponies and miniature horses

Good to know
- Use the chart by body weight; a pony and a 1,100 lb horse do not get the same scoop.
- Forage is half the ration here. Keep hay or pasture in front of your horse along with salt and clean water.
- If you still need more condition at the top of the chart, switch to a performance or senior feed rather than piling on more of this pellet.
- For a horse with metabolic disease or a history of founder, ask your vet to look over the whole ration.
Keep a supply on hand for the easy keeper that gets too round on good hay.
Cautions
CAUTION: Follow label directions. In order to avoid excessive mineral and vitamin intake, DO NOT feed more than 5 lb. of Triple Crown Lite per day. Chronic intake of excess minerals and/or vitamins can adversely affect the health of your horse. Feeding added Selenium at levels in excess of 0.30 ppm in the total diet is prohibited. Triple Crown Lite does not exceed an intake of 3 mg of added Selenium per head per day when fed as directed. Product contains added Copper; do not feed to sheep.

Feeding directions
Triple Crown Lite is designed to be a palatable feed for horses that will provide a desired intake level of supplemental minerals and vitamins without encouraging excessive weight gain. It should be fed to horses that have a tendency to become overweight or are receiving less than 4 lb. of grain per day.
| Horse Weight (lb.) | Lite (lb./day) | Minimum Forage (lb./day) |
|---|
| 600 | 1-2.5 | 9-12 |
| 900 | 1.5-3 | 13.5-18 |
| 1,100 | 2-4 | 16.5-22 |
| 1,300 | 3.5-5 | 19.5-26 |
Feed in combination with hay and/or pasture, salt and fresh, clean water. If more than 5 lb. are needed to maintain desired body condition, switch to a Triple Crown performance or senior feed.
NOTE: Provide plenty of fresh, clean water at all times. Keep product fresh in cool, dry storage. Examine product daily. DO NOT use if old, moldy or contaminated with insects.
