Not every feeding spot has a fence post or a fixed trough. This portable feeder hooks over a 2-by-wide board, so a sturdy feed bucket can go wherever you need it: the field, a stall, a trailer or a kennel run.
The molded-in bracket holds it on the board, and the impact-resistant build handles the knocks of a working barnyard. Carry it by the top handle, and stack a few together for carrying or storage. For a more permanent spot, two screws, not included, lock it in place through the holes provided.
It suits horses, goats, sheep and dogs, so one feeder can move from the pasture to the dog run without a new setup each time.

Why hang a feeder instead of setting it on the ground
Feed on the ground gets mixed with mud and droppings, and some of it gets trampled. A feeder hung at board height keeps the grain off the dirt, so more of the ration goes into your animals and less of it ends up underfoot.
Portable matters because you don't always feed in the same place. Goats on a rotation, a horse in a paddock and dogs at the kennel each need feed where they are. One feeder that moves with you beats building a new setup at every stop.
The capacity suits a grain ration or a measure of pellets for a few animals at a time. Fill it with a scoop, hang it up, and it's ready for the next feeding.

How to hang and fill it
- Hook the molded-in bracket over a 2-by-wide board at a height your animals can reach comfortably.
- Fill it with a measured ration so every animal gets its share.
- For a permanent spot, drive two screws through the holes provided. Screws are not included.
Fill it before the animals come in so nobody stands around waiting, and carry it by the top handle when you move it.
Good to know
- Scrub it out when you change feed, so old grain doesn't sit and go stale in the corners.
- Stack the feeders when they're not in use to save room in the trailer or the tack room.
- Check that the board is solid and straight before you hang it. A sound board keeps the feeder steady when the animals push in.
- Pair it with a sealed feed bin for bulk storage, and keep the bin lid closed between feedings.
