5" Jowl Wrap, Felt

A jowl wrap only works if your horse will tolerate it, and that starts with what sits against his face. This one carries a 5/8" black orthopedic felt lining, so the pressure across the jowl and throatlatch is spread over something soft instead of a hard strap. Use it to tidy up the throatlatch, and leave it on through a work session without rubbing a patch off your horse's coat.

The rest is built for the barn. Poly webbing shrugs off sweat, dirt and hair, nickel hardware holds up to daily use, and the Velcro closures let you set the tension exactly where you want it and pull it off in one motion. At 5" wide it covers the jowl without crowding the bridle. Made in the USA.

• Check the fit after the first few rides and snug the closure as the felt settles in.
