Barrel racing asks a lot of a stirrup: quick weight shifts, a hard seat and a foot that has to stay planted when the horse turns. These aluminum stirrups have a 3 in neck, a 2 in tread and a 5 in tall, 5 in wide frame. Natural skirting leather roller covers sit easy against your boot, and the removable rubber treads help reduce slipping during competition.

When the rubber wears down, the treads pop out and fresh ones drop in. Replacement rubber treads are available separately, which makes a worn tread a small swap rather than a new set of stirrups.
