A dull blade costs you time and skin, whether you're breaking down a deer, cutting twine off a round bale or opening a feed sack. Draw the edge through this handheld sharpener and you're back to cutting in about 10 seconds, with no setup and no fiddling to find the right angle.

Two diamond-honed tungsten carbide blades sit at a preset 21-degree angle, so each pass cuts the same as the last. They reverse and replace, which keeps the tool working long after the first edge wears down. The handle fills your hand and a full-length finger guard keeps your knuckles behind the work. It's dishwasher-safe, made in the USA, and covered by a limited lifetime warranty. Kitchen knives, serrated blades, hunting knives, axes, cleavers and machetes all get the same treatment.

Good to know

  • Keep one in the barn for twine and sacks and one in the kitchen. A dull blade gets forced, and a forced blade slips.
  • Turn the blades around or swap in a fresh set once the edge stops biting, so the tool keeps cutting instead of polishing.
  • Run it through the dishwasher after processing season instead of wiping it down by hand.

Toss one in the truck box before the season starts and leave it there.
