High-purity, additive-free salt for pools equipped with a saltwater chlorinator.
For saltwater chlorinator systems
Splash Ready is made for a pool or spa equipped with a saltwater chlorinator. The generator uses dissolved sodium chloride to produce the chlorine sanitizer for the water. Salt maintains that system's salt level. It will not sanitize a pool by itself without the compatible chlorinator doing its job. Check the owner's manual for the salt level your system needs, then test the water before adding more. That avoids adding salt when the pool is already at its target.
Dissolves cleanly in the water
This granulated salt is over 99.8% soluble and naturally free of additives. Its typical sodium chloride content is 99.7%, with water-insolubles content of 100 ppm. A low-insoluble pool salt dissolves without leaving much grit behind to settle or move through the circulation system. Keep the bag near the equipment area before opening so you can measure what your chlorinator requires without carrying an open sack across a wet deck.
Use the system's salt chart
Salt requirements vary with pool volume, the current salt reading and the chlorinator model. Use the electric chlorinator manual to calculate the amount. Do not use a generic dose from another pool or add salt by habit. Measure salinity first, calculate the shortfall from your system's chart and add only the amount it calls for. After adding salt, give it time to dissolve and verify the reading using the procedure specified by your chlorinator maker.
Plan for a salt pool's upkeep
A salt system still needs routine water testing and attention to its chlorine output. The generator reuses salt as it cycles through chlorine production, but water loss, splash-out and backwashing can change the salt concentration. Add more only when testing shows that the system needs it. Salt also increases the risk of corrosion or deterioration around pool equipment and surfaces. Follow your chlorinator and pool-surface instructions for placement, handling and maintenance. Store the bag dry and close it between uses so the salt stays free-flowing.
Directions for use
This product is intended for electric salt water chlorinator systems only. To calculate the amount of salt to use, refer to the electric chlorinator system user manual. The product is water soluble and formulated to provide efficient operation of the pool chlorinator system.
