These are built for the days when you're on your feet from first light to last chore. Full-grain leather takes a shine and breaks in to your foot, and the leather lining keeps the inside smooth. A hidden gore panel expands so the boot pulls on easily and gives where your foot flexes.
Underfoot, a cushion flex insole with a rigid rear foot stabilizer and the fiberglass Dually Shank hold your foot steady in the stirrup and on uneven ground. The outsole is genuine leather, hand pegged and nailed, and the 3/4 Goodyear welt means the boot can be resoled instead of replaced. The 1 1/4-inch stockman rocker heel and square toe give you a stable base and room in the toe box.

What it's for
A 13-inch Western boot does the job in the saddle and around the barn. The stockman heel with rocker is made for riding, and the taller shaft gives you more coverage through the pen, the lot and the walk up to the house.
This boot suits the rider who spends long hours in the saddle, the ranch hand who walks the place all day and the man who wants a dressy boot for the rodeo or a night out. With a leather upper, leather lining and leather outsole, it breaks in over time, and the Goodyear welt means a good pair can be resoled when the sole wears down.

How to fit and wear them
The Dually Shank and the stacked heel base keep the boot steady, but a new pair still needs a fitting. A new western boot slips a little at the heel at first, and that settles as the leather breaks in. Measure your feet late in the day and try the boots on with the socks you'll ride in.
Check that your toes have room in the square toe box and that the heel sits firmly as you walk. Walk the aisle, or step up and down a stair if the store has one. Wear the boots around the place for a few short days before a long ride so the leather settles to your foot.
Good to know
- Wear them with jeans or chinos for workdays and rodeo nights.
- Wipe off mud and dust after wear, then let the leather air out away from direct heat so the upper doesn't dry and crack.
- Condition the leather now and then to keep it supple and the welt stitching clean.
- Use a boot jack to pull them off, so the heel counter keeps its shape. Store them upright, out of the sun, between rides.
- For the right fit, the boot should feel snug over the instep with a little room for your toes. A new boot slips a little at the heel at first, and that settles as the leather breaks in.
