Take a feeder to the fair, the arena or the barn without hauling a heavy bunk. This hanging gate feeder is light enough to move by hand and fits both wood and steel panels, so it can follow your animals from one pen to the next. High-density polyethylene won't rust or corrode, and UV stabilization helps it resist fading and stay strong in the sun without becoming brittle.
Clean-out is where most feeders lose the argument. The seamless one-piece body and smooth rounded corners inside let you dump stale feed and rinse it out in a hurry. The body holds up when animals lean and push on it, and the feeder fits gates up to 2 inches. Fasten it through the center hole and it stays put where the animals are.

Why a plastic gate feeder
Feed belongs where the animals are, off the ground and out of the mud. A feeder that hangs on the gate keeps feed at a height animals can reach and keeps it from being trampled into the dirt. Plastic that won't rust is a practical pick for barns with humidity, rain and sun, where a metal feeder can start to rust and wear.
The job is the same at home and on the road. Hang one on the pen gate at home and move it to the trailer for a show or a weekend trail ride. Keep the feed where the animal eats, and less of it ends up wasted on the ground.
Who it suits: horse and goat owners who move animals between the barn, the arena and the trailer, 4-H and show families who travel every weekend, and anyone with a pen that needs a second feeder.

How to use it
Hang the feeder over a wood or steel panel, and fasten it through the center hole so it doesn't swing.
- Set the height so animals can reach the feed without climbing, and the feeder sits clear of manure.
- Fill it with feed, and check the fastening before each feeding.
- Empty and rinse it between feeds, so stale feed doesn't build up.
Good to know
- Fasten it firmly. Animals lean and push, so a loose feeder can shift and spill.
- Keep one at home on the gate and one in the trailer for show day, so you're never hunting for a feeder before you leave.
- Rinse the rounded interior after each feed. The smooth corners make it quick, but leftover feed still spoils in the heat.
