Feed tablets through a floating dispenser

The Pro Floating Chlorinator holds chlorine tablets in the pool so water can reach them as they dissolve. It provides a place for tablet feeding without an inline feeder connected to the pool plumbing. Choose this kind of dispenser when your chlorine-tablet directions call for a floating feeder. The tablet supplies the treatment chemical; the floating body holds it in the water and the openings govern the water contact around it.

The ring changes water exposure

The adjustable ring changes the water openings around the tablets. Opening or restricting that passage gives you a way to adjust tablet exposure as part of your feeding routine. It is a physical adjustment, not a reading of the water's chlorine level. Judge the result with water testing rather than by how far the ring is turned. The appropriate setting depends on the treatment being used and the conditions in your pool.

Keep up with changing chlorine demand

A pool does not use chlorine at a fixed rate every day. Sunlight reduces chlorine, and material carried into the water by swimmers uses it as well. A busy afternoon can therefore call for another water check even when the dispenser still contains tablets. The useful combination is a feeding routine plus test results. A floater left in the water cannot tell you whether enough active chlorine remains for the current conditions.

Test pH alongside chlorine

Chlorine and pH answer different maintenance questions. A chlorine measurement shows the sanitizer concentration, while pH affects how effectively chlorine works. A dispenser supplies tablets but cannot correct or measure that balance. Keep a suitable water test with your pool equipment so a tablet-feeding adjustment follows a measurement. Follow the exact tablet label for the amount to load and any conditions that apply to its use in a floating dispenser.

Match the dispenser to the treatment

This 10-445 model accepts one-inch or three-inch chlorine tablets and has an eight-inch body. Check that the tablet you use is intended for this feeding method before loading it. Keep the same treatment instructions with your pool-care routine so the tablet amount and the ring adjustment remain separate decisions. Never combine different pool chemicals in the dispenser. When changing a setting, record the next test result so you can see how the water responds.
