When a feeder stops throwing feed, the spin plate and funnel are usually where to start. This kit gives you new metal parts for the job, so the feeder goes back to work without buying a whole new unit.
Four outlets reduce clogs, and the spin plate puts out the same amount of feed in half the time. The spin plate's raised edges and powder-coated finish protect it from corrosion, and the metal funnel helps spread feed more efficiently.
It's a practical spare for hunters and land managers who keep a Moultrie feeder running through the season, and it also fits most competing models.
Highlights
- Four outlets reduce clogs
- Same amount of feed in half the time
- Powder-coated metal spin plate and funnel
- Wind- and rust-resistant spin plate
- Fits most Moultrie feeder kits and most competing models
Why metal parts belong on a feeder
A feeder is only as good as its spinner. Damp or clumped feed sticks in a funnel and blocks the flow, and rust slows the plate down. Powder-coated metal holds up to moisture better than bare steel does, so the parts keep dispensing through rain and humidity.
Four outlets broadcast feed better and clog less, and the raised edges on the plate help protect feed from wind and varmints.
Anyone who would rather replace two worn parts than a whole feeder will like this kit. The parts swap in with the hardware already on the feeder, so it's a repair you can finish in one trip out.

How to use it
Swap the parts with basic tools, using the hardware already on the feeder.
- Empty the bucket, drum or hopper, and remove the existing funnel.
- Loosen the set screw on the old spin plate, then pull it off the motor shaft.
- Place the new metal spin plate on the motor shaft and tighten the set screw.
- Insert the new metal funnel and install it with the existing hardware.
Run the feeder for a short test before you fill it, and make sure the plate spins freely without rubbing the funnel. A quick check in the yard saves a trip back out to the stand.
Good to know
- Look over the motor shaft and existing hardware before you climb up, and gather your basic tools first.
- Keep a spare kit in the shed, so a cracked funnel doesn't sideline the feeder in the middle of the season.
- Wipe the metal dry after heavy rain and check the spin plate for buildup of feed dust.
- Replace the parts if the powder coat chips off the spin plate and rust starts to show.
- While you're up there, check the feeder's battery and timer.
About Moultrie
Moultrie began in 1979, when Dan Moultrie built his first spin-cast feeder to keep deer from just passing through his property.
