Some barn problems are slow and stubborn. Nu-Stock is a sulfur ointment made for skin trouble on animals, from red mange on dogs to screw worm, ringworm, and cuts or deep wounds that need something on them. It stays on until you reapply, so you don't need a daily wash-and-recoat routine.
The formula is 73% sulfur with 2% pine oil and 25% mineral oil. It is effective on skin disorders and deep wounds on animals, and it eliminates certain types of growths. The ointment can be thinned with baby oil to a lotion-like texture when you need it to spread.

What it's for
Sulfur ointments have long been a barn staple for skin work, and an ointment that stays on is easier to manage than a wash you have to repeat. Keep one for the dog that is scratching raw, the mare with a rubbed patch, and the animal with a sore that needs covering.
This is for the family with mixed animals, the rancher who wants one product for the gate-side cuts, and the small-acreage owner who doesn't want a shelf of single-use bottles.

How to use it
Work it into clean, dry skin and give it time between rounds:
- Shake well before using.
- Cleanse the area to be treated and let it dry.
- Try a small amount first to see how the animal reacts.
- Apply to all affected areas.
- Repeat every 3 days until you get the desired results.
- Do not wash off until reapplication is needed.
- To prevent eye contamination, wear protective rubber gloves when applying, or wash your hands thoroughly after applying.
- Thin with baby oil if necessary to keep a lotion-like consistency.
Good to know
- A patch test on a small spot tells you how the animal's skin takes it before you cover a whole area.
- Because it stays on until you reapply, a hot spot doesn't turn into a daily washing job.
- Brush or clip the hair away from a wound so the ointment reaches the skin.
- Keep a jar in the barn cabinet with your wound supplies so a cut doesn't wait for a trip to town.
