Standard Running Martingale, Nylon

A running martingale gives you a way to check a horse that throws his head and tries to get his nose out past your hands. This one rigs up in durable 3/4" nylon with nickel plated hardware. The 1-3/4" rings let the reins run clean, and it's fully adjustable to fit your horse.

It's the plain, workmanlike version of the piece: nylon, nickel hardware, nothing extra to break or clean. Ride in it at home, pack it for a show, or keep one in the tack trunk so a blown strap never costs you a ride.

Good to know

• Wipe the nylon down with a damp cloth after a muddy ride and let it air out before it goes back in the tack trunk.
• Check the nickel hardware and the ring connections before every ride, the same as you would any strap on your bridle.
• Keep a spare in the trailer so a chewed or cracked strap doesn't end a show day.
