Fleas and ticks settle deep into carpets, rugs and upholstery, and that is where ADAMS Plus Flea & Tick Carpet Powder goes to work. Shake it across the room and it kills adult fleas and ticks on contact. Its pyriproxyfen also kills flea eggs and larvae, so a new hatch does not turn into the next wave.
One container treats up to 400 square feet and controls reinfestation for up to 12 months. It also freshens the room with a citrus scent and eliminates deep-down pet odors, so it is useful on the days your home needs more than a vacuum.

What it's for
Most of a flea problem lives in the house, not on the pet. Eggs and larvae fall off the animal and hide in carpet fibers and furniture seams, where they wait for the next warm week. A powder that works down into those fibers reaches the places a spray on the surface or a bath for the dog never touches.
It is the right step when a dog or cat has picked up fleas, after a trip to the kennel or the trailer, or in the first warm week of spring when the flea count starts to climb. Pair it with a pet treatment and a yard treatment, so the whole flea cycle is covered.

How to use it
Shake the powder out evenly and give it time. Carpets and upholstery each follow their own steps.
- Shake well before using.
- Carpets: shake the powder evenly across the surface, then brush lightly with a broom to work it deep into the carpet.
- Carpets: wait at least 60 minutes before vacuuming lightly to remove the visible surface powder. For best results, wait up to 24 hours.
- Upholstery: remove loose cushions, sprinkle the powder along creases and into corners, then brush lightly into the folds.
- Upholstery: vacuum the visible powder. If it sticks to a spot, brush it out and vacuum that area right away.
- When you empty the vacuum, wrap the contents or the disposable bag in several layers of newspaper and throw it in the trash.
Good to know
- Only 5% of fleas live on your pet, so treat the pet, the home and the yard together.
- Test upholstery on a hidden spot before you treat exposed fabric, because the powder can stain or change the texture.
- Wait at least 60 minutes before you vacuum, and up to 24 hours for the best results.
- Keep a container in the house for the next warm week, so you are not shopping when the fleas show up.

Cautions
KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. CAUTION.
Do not use on exposed fabric without first testing on a hidden surface for effects on color (staining) or texture. If powder adheres to a spot, brush out and vacuum that area immediately.
When emptying vacuum bag after use, wrap contents or disposable bag in several layers of newspaper and discard in trash.
Treat the rooms your pet lives in now, before a few fleas become a full infestation.
