Bar-Vac CD/T is a Clostridium perfringens types C and D and tetanus toxoid for healthy cattle, sheep and goats. It helps protect them against enterotoxemia and tetanus, the sudden losses caused by Clostridium perfringens types C and D and Clostridium tetani that can follow a feed change, heavy grain or a wound.
The dose goes under the skin: 5 mL for cattle and 2 mL for sheep and goats. Repeat in 21 to 28 days, and ask your veterinarian about revaccination. One bottle covers a small herd, a show string or a pasture where cattle, sheep and goats run together.

- Clostridium C and D with tetanus toxoid in one vaccine
- Suits small herds and mixed pastures
Why vaccinate against enterotoxemia and tetanus
Clostridial disease does not wait for a convenient day. Enterotoxemia can strike fast in animals that get into rich feed or grain, and tetanus can follow a wound. A planned vaccine program is the calm way to face those risks, and it beats a barn emergency every time.
Work with your veterinarian. A vet can tell you whether your animals need this program and when, and can diagnose what is happening in a sick animal. A vaccine is not a substitute for that visit.
Who it suits: a small farm with goats and sheep on the same pasture as cattle, a 4-H family with animals to show, or a homestead with a few head that need a clear yearly schedule.

How to use it
Vaccinate healthy, susceptible animals, then mark the booster date on the barn calendar:
- Cattle: 5 mL subcutaneous injection.
- Sheep and goats: 2 mL subcutaneous injection.
- Repeat in 21 to 28 days.
- Mix well before use. Ask your veterinarian or the manufacturer how often to revaccinate.
Use a clean needle and a fresh injection site for each animal. Keep the vaccine cold, out of sunlight and never frozen.
Good to know
- Vaccines must stay cold, so we don't ship them. Pick yours up at the store in Baker.
- Refrigerate the vaccine, never let it freeze, and keep it out of sunlight while you work.
- Record the lot number, date and animal for every dose, so boosters stay on time and records stay straight.
- If cattle, sheep and goats run together, keep all three on the schedule your vet sets.
- Plan the slaughter date around the withdrawal period before you book a processor.
