Cydectin Pour-On Applicator Gun, 70 mL

A reusable 70 mL pour-on applicator with adjustable dose settings for cattle care routines.

A measured applicator for the chute side

When cattle need a topical product, the equipment has to be ready before the first animal comes through. This reusable gun has a clear poly barrel marked for dosing and an adjustable chamber that runs from 10 mL to 70 mL in 2.5 mL increments. The markings let you set and check a measured volume before applying a product. The gun is supplied with a pour-on nozzle and draw-off tubing, so the pickup line can reach into a compatible container while the operator keeps the handle in hand. Keep the applicator with the cattle handling gear rather than searching for it after animals are already in the chute.

Set the equipment before handling cattle

Before use, read the directions for the liquid being applied and confirm the correct volume for each animal. This gun is an applicator. It does not include Cydectin medicine. The product name identifies the system it is designed to work with, but medication must be purchased separately. Check that the tubing is secure and the barrel moves smoothly. Test the setting with the intended liquid before starting a group, then follow that product's label for route, placement, dose, and animal restrictions. Never use the gun to guess a dose or to transfer instructions from one treatment to another.

Keep the next job simple

After the work is finished, clean and store the applicator according to the directions supplied with the liquid and the equipment. Keep the barrel and tubing protected from dirt and feed dust. A small kit with the gun, its tubing, and the correct product instructions makes the next handling day more orderly. Check the graduations and adjustment before each session. If a part is cracked, leaking, or difficult to operate, replace it before the next treatment instead of relying on a poor seal or an uncertain setting. Good preparation saves time in the alley and helps keep handling calm.

Good to know

This 70 mL gun is suited to a setup where cattle are treated with compatible pour-on products and a measured applicator is needed. Match the setting to the current label each time. Keep product labels available at the work area, and ask your veterinarian or supplier when compatibility is unclear.
