A pocket knife should fit your pocket and your hand, and the Steel Warrior Range Rider is built for both. It closes at 3 1/4 inches, so it rides comfortably in a jeans pocket or a vest, and the thumbnail pull lets you open it quickly without hunting for a stud or a nick. It's a traditional knife you'll reach for all day.
The burnt peachseed bone handles give it a warm, classic look, and the brass liners and pins, along with the nickel-silver bolsters, make the knife feel solid in the hand.

Why a Range Rider for everyday carry
A pocket knife gets the most use when it's easy to open and easy to carry. The thumbnail pull makes the difference: set a thumbnail in it and the blade swings out without hunting for a stud. It's a small feature that saves a lot of fumbling on a busy day.
Bone handles are a traditional choice. They have a natural feel, and they fit the classic look of a Range Rider. The burnt peachseed finish adds a warm tone to the bone, which is why it stands apart from plain bone on the belt or in the pocket.
Brass liners and pins and nickel-silver bolsters are the metal details that make a traditional knife look right. Nickel silver contains no silver, resists tarnish better than plain brass and doesn't rust, so the bolsters stay bright through years of handling. A compact knife is a good first pocket knife for a young hand, and a good second for anyone who likes a small one.

How to use it
Open the knife with the thumbnail pull and keep it closed in the pocket when you're not cutting. Bone handles last longest when they stay dry, so wipe the knife after a wet job.
- Open with the thumbnail. Set your thumbnail in the pull and swing the blade out until it's fully open.
- Cut with control. Keep the edge moving away from your hand and your body.
- Close carefully. Fold the blade back into the handle and keep your fingers clear of the edge.
- Wipe and dry. After a wet job, wipe the bone and metal dry so the bolsters and liners don't collect grime.
Good to know
- Keep the handles out of standing water and away from long soaks.
- A drop of oil on the pivot keeps the knife opening smoothly.
- Pair it with a small pocket sharpener from the same aisle, so the edge is always ready.
