Two spray patterns cover different hand-watering jobs. The shower setting distributes fine droplets for watering flowers and plants, while the stream setting concentrates water for rinsing dirty walkways. A thumb control starts and stops the flow without squeezing a trigger. That can be helpful when moving from one plant to another or when repeated squeezing is uncomfortable. The nozzle is intended for direct hose use, so the user aims and controls the water at the point of watering rather than programming a schedule.

Use the product's controls with care

Choose the shower pattern for delicate plantings and direct it toward the soil around the roots. The concentrated stream is better reserved for surfaces that can handle more force. Switching patterns lets one hose tool move between plant care and basic cleanup, but the pattern itself does not control application volume or plant needs. Move the thumb control to stop water between locations, then resume when ready. The thumb valve controls the water flow without repeated trigger squeezing. Use the shower setting for a broader, gentler pass over soil and the stream setting when a more directed flow is needed. Change the setting before moving between delicate foliage and a spot that needs a focused rinse. Keep the nozzle aimed away from people and pets when opening the faucet.

Fit the tool to the area

Keep the nozzle far enough from loose soil that the shower can soak the bed without washing it away. For containers, check that water drains through the pot rather than spilling across the surface. When cleaning, test the stream on an inconspicuous area before using it on a delicate finish. Its metal body and rubber grip are designed for hose-end use, with a listed maximum rating of 40 psi. Turn off the faucet after use, inspect the hose washer if the joint drips and store the nozzle where the control will not be struck or jammed. Stop the flow before repositioning the nozzle to avoid spraying a path or walkway. The shower and stream are distinct jobs: use the shower over planted soil and reserve the jet for hard surfaces. Stop flow with the thumb control before switching tasks so water is not wasted while you move.
