Choose the volume and connection

This Ideal syringe family includes two syringe-only sizes: 3 mL and 12 mL. Both use a Luer Lock tip, which secures a compatible threaded connection. Neither model includes a needle. Check the syringe volume and tip type against the equipment and directions for the task before opening a package. A 12 mL barrel holds more than a 3 mL barrel, but the size alone does not determine a dose or make the syringes interchangeable for every use.

Individual hard-packed syringes

Neogen models 8875 and 8885 are syringe-only Luer Lock designs in 3 mL and 12 mL sizes. Each sale unit is one individually hard-packed syringe. The tamper-evident package remains sealed until use.

Barrel and plunger features

The manufacturer describes the syringe barrel as clear polypropylene with large graduations for viewing and measuring fluid. A positive plunger stop helps prevent the stopper from passing the end of the barrel, and a textured thumb press gives the user a firmer grip. The hard pack has a sonic-welded end cap designed to provide a tamper-evident seal and protect sterility. Inspect each package before use; discard it if the seal is broken or the package is damaged.
