This is the little folder you reach for when a hay string needs cutting, a tag needs trimming or a box won't cooperate. The Minuteman carries two stainless blades, a clip and a pen, so you get a main cutter and a finer edge in one knife that rides comfortably in a jeans pocket.

The sawcut Delrin handle gives a secure grip, and nickel silver bolsters cap both ends of the handle. An inlay shield finishes the handle without adding bulk. At 2 7/8 inches closed and about a tenth of a pound, it's easy to carry all day and easy to forget until you need it.

Highlights

  • Two stainless blades: clip and pen
  • Sawcut Delrin handle for a secure grip
  • Nickel silver bolsters
  • Inlay shield for a finished look
  • 2 7/8 inch closed length for pocket carry

Why choose a two-blade folder

A folder is the everyday knife. It's the one that goes on the belt for chores, the one that opens the feed sack or the twine and goes back in the pocket without a thought. A two-blade pattern covers two jobs, so you aren't swapping knives when the clip blade is better for one cut and the pen blade is better for a finer trim.

Stainless blades are the practical choice for a knife that lives in a pocket, a wet truck and a tack room. Stainless resists rust better than plain carbon steel, which means less time cleaning up after the rain and less worry about the edge after a damp week.

It suits anyone who wants a dependable folder for farm chores: a rancher on a fence check, a horse owner cutting twine and bale strings, a gardener opening boxes or a hunter who wants a light camp knife. It is the kind of knife that earns a permanent spot in a jeans pocket.

How to use it

Get the most from the knife with a few simple habits:

  1. Open each blade slowly until it clicks into place, and close it away from your fingers.
  2. Cut away from your body and keep your fingers out of the blade's path.
  3. Wipe the blades dry after use, especially after cutting wet twine or rain-soaked material.
  4. Put a drop of oil at the pivot now and then so the blades open and close smoothly.
  5. Close the blades fully before you put the knife in your pocket.

Good to know

  • This is a slipjoint folder with no lock, so keep the blades closed when you carry it.
  • Pair it with a small sharpener for quick touch-ups in the field.
  • Keep the knife clean and dry, and store it closed so the pivot doesn't collect grit.
  • Stock a second folder for the truck, so the one in your jeans can stay put.

Put one in your pocket before the next fence check or the next stack of bales.
