Good forage covers most of a horse's needs, but there are situations where a horse can benefit from a vitamin and mineral supplement. Young, growing horses, broodmares, debilitated horses, senior horses and performance horses all fit that picture, and a liquid makes the routine simple to keep.
Red Cell is a palatable, yucca-flavored liquid with 300 mg of iron per ounce to help maintain normal blood cell health, energy and performance demands. Its B-complex vitamins support metabolism and a healthy immune system, and its zinc supports the immune system too. Mix it into the daily ration or dose it orally with a syringe.

Why red blood cells matter in a working horse
Red blood cells carry oxygen to the cells of the body and carry carbon dioxide away from them. A performance horse depends on that exchange during hard exercise and on the recovery that follows. Iron is part of hemoglobin, the protein that carries the oxygen, which is why iron shows up in a performance supplement.
A liquid is a practical way to keep a supplement in the routine, especially when a horse is picky about a scoop in the bucket. It also gives you a steady daily habit through a growth spurt, a hard training block or a breeding season.
Who it suits: the young horse filling out, the broodmare that needs extra support, the senior horse that has slowed down and the performance horse in full work.

How to use it
Choose the method that fits your horse's routine:
- Horses in training: feed 2 fluid ounces daily.
- Horses not in training: feed 1 fluid ounce daily. Mix it into the daily feed ration or give it orally with a dose syringe. Shake well before using, and keep it from freezing.
Give it at the same time each day so the amount stays steady, and keep fresh water in front of your horse.
Good to know
- Use it to fill vitamin and mineral gaps when good forage alone is not enough.
- A dose syringe helps when a horse turns its nose up at a supplement in the bucket.
- Keep it in the routine through growth, gestation, recovery or heavy training.
- Pair it with a good hay program, since a supplement works best alongside solid forage.
