A small folding knife earns its spot by being close at hand. This Steel Warrior copperhead folds down to 3 inches closed, so it rides in a jeans pocket, a truck console or a barn coat without getting in the way. Its two stainless steel blades, a clip and a small pen, are ready for twine, tape, box flaps and rope ends.
The composite imitation-stag handle gives the knife a traditional look, and the nickel silver bolsters add a bright finishing detail where the handle meets the blade. A thumbnail pull lets you open the blade quickly when a cutting job comes up, so the knife is ready when you are.

Why a copperhead fits everyday carry
A copperhead is a slim, simple folder. Its short closed length keeps it from snagging in a pocket, and it covers the everyday jobs without the bulk of a big knife. For chores around the barn or the truck, a small folder is the one you'll actually carry.
Composite handles also suit a working knife. They don't need the care that natural bone or horn does, so a quick wipe with a damp cloth keeps the handle looking good. It suits a barn hand, a rider who needs a blade at the fence, a gardener with twine to cut and a young person ready for a first folder with an adult nearby.

How to use it
Place your thumb on the thumbnail pull and open the blade with a steady motion. Close it slowly toward the handle, keeping your fingers out of the blade's path.
Cut away from your body and keep your hand clear of the edge. A short folder works best on small, controlled cuts such as twine, tape, box flaps and rope ends.
Wipe the blade dry after use, especially after cutting wet or sticky material, and keep the pivot clean. Keep moisture off the blade, since water left in the joint invites stains and rust.
Clean the composite handle with a damp cloth and mild soap, then dry it before you put the knife away.
Good to know
- Pair the knife with a sharpening stone, so the stainless blade keeps cutting clean.
- A compact knife is easy to lose. Keep it in the same pocket every day, or clip it to a belt loop.
- Keep a second one in the barn drawer, so the job never waits on the knife in your pocket.
