Treat outdoor areas where pets spend time

ADAMS Plus Yard Spray is a water-based permethrin product for outdoor residential spaces. ADAMS lists lawns, trees, shrubs, porches, patios and foundations as use areas, and targets fleas, ticks, mosquitoes, ants, Japanese beetles, fire ants and other listed insects. It is designed for yard treatment rather than direct application to an animal or use inside the home. That makes it relevant when outdoor pest pressure is part of a broader flea and tick problem.

Hose-end application

The 32-fluid-ounce bottle has a hose-end sprayer, avoiding separate tank mixing. The manufacturer states that one bottle treats up to 5,000 square feet. The hose-end unit draws the product into hose water as it is applied, so it is diluted during spraying rather than dispensed as a premixed trigger spray. That format is convenient for a home yard or outdoor living area where the treatment can be applied with a garden hose. Its coverage is a labeled maximum, not a guarantee for every layout; dense plantings, uneven terrain and application conditions can affect how much area one bottle reaches.

Permethrin contact and residual action

The formula contains 2.5% permethrin. ADAMS describes it as a long-lasting insecticide that provides contact and residual control, with control of listed pests for up to four weeks. The practical value is a treatment that addresses insects in the yard and outdoor spaces where pets and people spend time. Use it only on sites and plants that appear on the product label, and follow the label’s instructions for people, pets and treated areas.

Choose the yard format for an outdoor job

A hose-end product is a straightforward choice for treating a broader outdoor area without measuring concentrate into a separate sprayer. A smaller spot treatment or an indoor flea issue may call for a different format. ADAMS presents yard spray as one part of its flea and tick control approach, alongside separate products intended for pets or indoor areas. Select each product for its labeled use rather than using the yard bottle on an animal or inside a building.

A yard treatment within a flea program

Treating the yard addresses the outdoor part of a flea problem. It does not apply a flea treatment to the pet, and it does not reach an indoor carpet or pet bedding. The distinction is useful when insects are encountered after pets spend time outside: identify which locations are contributing to the problem, then select the product intended for each location. This bottle is the outdoor application tool, with its hose supplying the water needed to distribute the product.
