Galvanized 2 x 4 wire-filled Alligator Brand gate with rounded corners, available in 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 and 16 ft sizes.
Choose the opening width first
These wire-filled gates are offered here in 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, and 16 foot lengths. Measure the opening before choosing a size, then account for the hinge side and the space required for the gate to travel. The 10, 12 and 16 ft models are three inches shorter than their nominal lengths to allow for gate hardware and clearance; confirm the measured opening for the selected option before ordering.
A wire-filled frame
Each model has a galvanized steel frame with rounded corners, a 2 by 4 inch wire grid, and vertical pipe braces. The tubing is 1-3/4 inches in diameter, and the wire mesh is 6 gauge. The grid gives the panel a continuous filled surface rather than open rails. That layout is intended for small-animal confinement and entry use, including hog and sheep areas. Choose a gate for the animals and the fence plan at hand, not by appearance alone.
Hardware comes with the gate
Hinges, hinge pins, and a 36-inch chain are included with the 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 and 16 foot models. Before hanging, confirm the post or gate frame can accept the included hinge arrangement. Place the hinge side where the panel can swing without catching on a corner post or ground rise. Test the full travel before settling the chain position; a gate that clears while closed can still drag when opened.
Make the gate part of the fence plan
A short gate can serve as an access point in a pen or as an entry along a fence line. Check the mesh grid against the animals being contained and inspect the surrounding fence for gaps at the hinge and latch ends. The gate does not fix a weak post or a mismatched opening, so confirm those parts before installation.
Inspect moving points
On routine fence walks, look over the mesh and brace joints for damage, then check that the gate still meets its posts squarely. The galvanized finish suits outdoor farm use, but any bent mesh or loose hinge should be addressed before the gate is relied on as a barrier.

Cautions
Inspect the gate, hinge pins, chain, mesh and surrounding posts before relying on it to contain animals. Match the gate and enclosure to the animals and use at the site.
