BACCTO Premium Potting Soil is a general-purpose growing mix for indoor and outdoor planting. Use it in containers or beds when you want a prepared soil rather than starting with separate ingredients. It arrives ready to use, so there is no need to assemble a potting blend before you begin. That makes it useful at a potting bench where a few houseplants need attention, or outside when the patio planters are ready for fresh planting.

A peat-based blend with added fertilizer

The mix combines dark reed sedge peat with perlite and sand. Starter fertilizer is included, along with slow-release fertilizer. That gives the growing medium a fertilizer package from the beginning rather than leaving you to add one while mixing the soil. Keep that existing fertilizer in mind when planning later feeding. Follow the needs of the particular plant and the directions on any fertilizer you choose to use afterward.

For containers around the house

Use this potting soil for flowers and other indoor or outdoor potted plants. Hanging baskets and patio containers are also suitable uses. A ready-to-use mix lets you move from one planting project to the next without changing the basic preparation step. Choose the container and plant first, then work out how much soil is needed to fill around the root ball. You do not have to fill a whole planter just to judge whether the plant sits at the right height.

Use it in planting beds too

BACCTO Premium Potting Soil is also intended for planting in beds. Decide where you will plant before opening and moving the bag, especially when working through several containers beside the same bed. The identified package is a 50-pound bag. Plan the job around the soil you actually need and place the bag near the work area before lifting or pouring. This is a potting soil with fertilizer already included, rather than a bag of a single raw ingredient.

A practical planting routine

Set the empty container where you can reach it comfortably and have the plant ready before pouring. Add enough soil to position the root ball, then fill around it without burying the plant more deeply than its planting instructions call for. Water according to the needs of the plant and the container. Keep the remaining soil available for the next planter or bed. Use the plant itself as the guide for ongoing moisture and feeding.
