Turn the line without changing size

The Banjo EL050-90 makes a 90-degree turn between two 1/2-inch female pipe-thread connections. It suits a layout where a threaded line has to change direction around a frame, tank or other fixed equipment. It does not reduce the line or change over to a hose barb.

Check both fittings before assembly

Confirm the thread on each connected part before selecting the elbow. The nominal 1/2-inch size and NPT thread need to match at both ends. A part that happens to fit one side is not enough if the other connector uses a different size or connection type. When replacing an elbow, compare the part number and both threaded ends rather than choosing by outside appearance alone. That check helps avoid a second trip for a different adapter.

Treat both figures as limits, not as a guarantee for every liquid or combination of pressure and temperature. Check the fluid against the equipment maker's chemical-compatibility information before adding the fitting to a sprayer or transfer line.

Plan the turn around service access

Before final assembly, check that nearby parts remain available for inspection or replacement. A compact elbow may bring a line around a fixed obstruction, but the attached hose or pipe still needs a workable path. Keep the elbow oriented so adjoining components can be reached without dismantling unrelated equipment. Match EL050-90 when replacing the same Banjo part, and confirm both ends of the existing connection before fitting it.
