Build one branch into a line

The Banjo TEE050 has three 1/2-inch female pipe-thread openings that accept matching male NPT fittings. Use a tee where a main line needs a branch, such as routing a supply line toward a second part of an irrigation or spraying setup. It provides the physical split in the plumbing.

Match all three connections

Each connection is 1/2-inch female pipe thread. Plan the main line and branch with compatible male NPT fittings, then check each part number before assembly. A tee can look right while still failing to fit if one connected part uses a different nominal size, thread style or hose connection. The TEE050 keeps all three openings at the same size; it is not a reducing tee or a hose-barb junction.

Lay out the junction before tightening

Lay the tee out with the main run and branch identified before tightening the connections. That establishes which opening continues the existing line and which one feeds the additional leg. Keep enough room around the junction for the pipe or hose to leave the fitting without pushing against the tank or frame. The tee fixes the branch location; adjoining fittings determine the route beyond it.

Material and pressure data

Banjo makes the TEE050 from glass-reinforced polypropylene in a Schedule 80 design with NPT threads. TEE050 has a 300 psi maximum operating pressure. The threaded fitting family is rated to 150°F. These limits help screen a candidate fitting, but they do not establish compatibility with every chemical or fluid. Check the liquid against the equipment maker's material guidance and use the rating that applies to the actual operating conditions.

Keep a branch serviceable

In a liquid-transfer assembly, leave room to remove a connected section later and keep the junction clear of sharp edges. If the line carries a spray mixture, select every wetted component for that fluid and operating pressure. A fitting rating applies to the tee itself; the rest of the assembly also needs compatible materials and limits. Record TEE050 with the equipment so a replacement keeps the same three-opening form.
