Small pastures, paddocks and property lines don't need a big charger, and a charger matched to the fence you actually have is the right tool. The PE10 is built for fencing up to 40 acres and up to 10 miles of fence. It runs on a 110 V plug, so you set it under shelter, plug it in and let it work.
The LED indicator lets you check at a glance that the unit is running, and the robust knob makes it simple to connect the fence lead. The low-impedance design delivers 0.3 J of output, and the low-maintenance build means less fuss while you move stock or check the fence after a storm. The 2-year warranty includes lightning, so storm season is covered too.

Why a plug-in energizer for a small place
Battery and solar chargers suit remote fence lines, but a plug-in unit is the steadiest choice when an outlet sits within reach of the fence. It doesn't depend on a battery holding its charge or on a sunny week. For a backyard paddock, a few acres for two horses, or a goat pen out past the barn, the PE10 keeps the fence hot without taking up much room.
It suits a first electric fence, a hobby farm with a couple of paddocks, or a property line you want to keep stock off. Patriot builds this unit for small properties, and that is the job it does well: a steady charge on a modest fence with the convenience of a plug.

How to use it
- Mount the energizer under shelter, where the 110 V cord reaches an outlet and the unit stays out of the weather.
- Connect the fence lead to the terminal and follow the Patriot user guide for the grounding setup.
- Plug in the unit and check the LED after you connect the lead.
- Walk the fence after a storm and check the energizer, the lead and the outlet.
Good to know
- Keep grass and weeds off the wire, since vegetation touching the wire drains the charge.
- Use the LED for a quick check after every connection, so a dead fence never goes unnoticed.
- The 2-year warranty includes lightning, so a storm season hit doesn't leave you starting from scratch.
- Pair it with a fence tester and a few insulators from the same aisle so you can check the line as you set it up.
