A cat that loses its sense of smell often loses its appetite too, and VetRx Veterinary Aid is made for that moment. It is a warm-it-first aid for cats and kittens, used to promote healthy upper respiratory function. The drops go straight into each nostril, two for an adult cat and one for a kitten.
The same oil base takes care of ear mites. Warm the bottle, shake it well and swab the whole ear area so the oil smothers the mites. The formula is the same for every cat and kitten, whatever the breed or age, so one bottle works for every cat in the house.

Why choose a warm-it-first aid
Cats find their food by smell. A cat that loses its sense of smell often loses its appetite along with it, and VetRx can help improve sense of smell, which is what encourages a cat to eat again.
A drop at the right temperature is easier for a cat to take than one straight from the cabinet, which is why the bottle goes in warm water first.
The oil base is the reason the product works on ear mites. It coats the mites and smothers them, and the bottle is already in your hand when the scratching starts.

How to use it
Warm the bottle first, then follow the nose or ear routine.
- Stand the bottle in a container of warm water for a few minutes, or warm it quickly over medium heat with the cap open.
- Test the temperature of the product before you apply it.
- For the nose, apply 2 drops directly into each nostril for an adult cat, or 1 drop for a kitten.
- Repeat in 5 minutes, then repeat applications 3 to 4 times a day.
- If you can, keep the cat in a separate room and run VetRx in a warm water vaporizer, following the vaporizer's own directions.
- For the ears, shake the bottle well, then apply by the drop or with a cotton swab, dampening the entire area.
- Don't dig off scabs. The cat should shake them off on its own.
- Expect an oily film on the skin and fur. It won't burn the skin or remove hair.
Good to know
- Stand the bottle in a mug of warm water while you get the cat settled, so it's ready when you are.
- Use a fresh cotton swab for each ear, so you aren't carrying mites from one ear to the other.
- Keep a clean towel nearby for the oily film on the fur.
- If a cat stops eating, call your vet rather than relying on the drops alone.
