This Zareba snap-on extender holds wire 5 inches from a studded T-post. It is for an offset electric-fence strand where the existing post line stays in place. The stand-off is fixed, so choose it when the planned wire path needs that separation from the post face. The one-piece shape wraps onto the post without a separate screw or bracket. Its yellow body is easy to spot on the T-post during a line inspection.

Check the post size

It fits standard studded T-posts measuring 1-1/4 or 1.33 inches. Check the post itself before selecting this style. A smooth or differently shaped post will not present the stud pattern this snap-on part is made to use. That post measurement is separate from the wire size, so verify both before starting a replacement or adding an offset strand.

Match the wire type

This extender accepts steel wire, aluminum wire, polyrope or polywire. Those choices let the same post attachment serve several common electric-fence strand materials. Select the wire that matches the installed system, then keep that strand type consistent through the section. The insulator supports the wire at the T-post; it does not supply the strand or the energizer.

Place it where the offset helps

Plan the path through gates and around turns before fitting a straight-run extender. These are transition points where wire direction changes, so the next support or corner fitting must suit that job. Set the route first, then use this post-mounted piece only along the section where the added strand follows a straight T-post line.
