Brush creeps in fast along fence lines, around cabins and beside walkways, and cutting alone leaves stumps that send up new shoots. This ready-to-use liquid controls woody plants, vines and broadleaf weeds in the non-crop areas around your home.
Use it two ways. Mix it with water for a foliage spray that wets every leaf, or pour it undiluted onto a freshly cut stump to kill it and prevent sprouting.
Highlights
- Controls woody plants, vines and broadleaf weeds
- Ready to use, with no mixing for stump work
- Mix with water for foliage spraying
- Apply undiluted to freshly cut stumps
- Made for homes, cabins, fences, walkways and other non-crop areas
Why cutting alone isn't enough
A cut stump left alone often sends up new shoots from the base. A stump treatment puts herbicide on the cut surface, and a foliage spray goes after whatever comes back while it is leafed out and growing.
It suits the homeowner clearing honeysuckle off a fence, the cabin owner pushing brush back from the tree line and the hunter opening a shooting lane. Poison ivy, poison oak, honeysuckle and kudzu are on the control list.

How to use it
Pick the method for the job, and read and follow label directions before you mix.
- Foliage spray: mix 8 to 16 tablespoons (4 to 8 fl. oz.) in enough water to make one gallon of mixed spray.
- For mature or hard-to-control plants, such as ash, elm, maple, oak or pine, or during drought, use the highest rate.
- Apply one gallon of mixed spray to about 500 square feet with a coarse spray at low pressure, wetting all the leaves.
- Stump treatment: within 45 minutes of the cut, cover the fresh surface completely with the undiluted product, using a paint brush or backpack sprayer. Do not reuse the brush. Wrap the stump in several layers of newspaper and discard it in the trash.
- Vines: cut the vine first, then treat it as you would a stump.
Good to know
Spray only when the air is calm, and never when the wind blows toward plants you want to keep. Spray drift can reach grapes, vegetable crops and flowers. Rainfall within 24 hours may reduce effectiveness.
A surfactant, sometimes called a spreader sticker, helps spray spread out and stick to waxy, hard-to-wet leaves. Hi-Yield Spreader Sticker is a good partner for the foliage spray.
Wear long sleeves, long pants, chemical-resistant gloves made of any waterproof material, and shoes and socks. Wash hands before eating, drinking or using the toilet, and remove contaminated clothing right away.
Keep the bottle in its original container, in a cool, dry place out of reach of children and away from food, feeds, drugs and clothing. It cannot be refilled, so put the empty container in the trash or offer it for recycling.
