A triclopyr herbicide for labeled pasture, rangeland and brush-control uses in the 1 gallon jug.

A tool for woody plants and broadleaf weeds

Remedy Ultra is a triclopyr herbicide used for brush control and listed broadleaf weeds in pasture, rangeland, forestry and other approved sites. Corteva’s label names species such as blackberry, multiflora rose, poison ivy and oak, and selected woody plants. It is chosen when the problem is brush or broadleaf vegetation that a pasture manager wants to control while maintaining labeled grass uses. It is not the same formula as original Remedy.

Liquid ester concentrate for several methods

The product is a liquid concentrate with 60.45% triclopyr ester. The label provides methods including foliar spray and woody-stem treatments, with separate directions for broadcast, high-volume and individual-plant work. That flexibility helps a manager match treatment to patch size: broad areas may need a broadcast approach, while scattered brush may call for individual plant treatment. Choose the method that is listed for the target and site.

Foliar treatment versus woody stems

For leafy brush, a foliar application reaches the plant’s leaves during active growth. For some woody targets, the label provides cut-stump or basal-bark methods that place treatment on exposed or lower stem surfaces. These approaches serve different situations. A field edge with a few shrubs is not the same task as a pasture with a broadleaf weed patch, and each label method has specific concentration and timing requirements.

Foliar coverage has a seasonal setting

For foliar work, the label relates treatment to actively growing plants and adequate foliage. A woody plant with little leaf area presents a different opportunity from a fully leafed-out shrub. Stress and seasonal growth can influence response, so a lack of immediate browning is not the only measure of a systemic brush treatment. The target-specific method is more useful than choosing a general concentration for every species.

A different formulation from original Remedy

Remedy Ultra contains 60.45% triclopyr butoxyethyl ester, equivalent to four pounds of triclopyr acid per gallon. That identifies the product without borrowing original Remedy's 61.6% formulation. The Ultra label describes movement within susceptible plants, which helps explain its role on established woody vegetation. Leaves, bark and freshly cut stems provide different treatment opportunities; the appropriate one depends on the species and whether the brush is standing, leafy or already cut.

Directions for use

Directions for Use It is a violation of Federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling. Read all Directions for Use carefully before applying.

Mixing Directions Remedy Ultra specialty herbicide may be foliarly applied by diluting with water or by preparing an oil-water emulsion. For woody plant control, an oil-water emulsion performs more dependably under a broader range of conditions than a straight water dilution and is recommended for aerial applications.
