A 10 oz dry-flowable herbicide for labeled pasture, rangeland, grass hay and CRP weed-management uses.

Selective weed control in grassland

Cimarron Plus is used in labeled pasture, rangeland, grass hay and Conservation Reserve Program settings to control or suppress susceptible broadleaf weeds and certain grasses. Envu identifies targets including sericea lespedeza, bahiagrass and yucca, along with more than 100 listed weeds. That makes it a choice for forage managers dealing with difficult plants in a grass stand, not a general yard herbicide. The approved site and target combination must match the current label.

Dry-flowable formulation at low use rates

The 10-ounce product is a dry-flowable concentrate mixed in water for application. Its active ingredients are metsulfuron-methyl and chlorsulfuron, both Group 2 herbicides that inhibit acetolactate synthase in susceptible plants. Small amounts are measured per acre, so a bottle can treat a much larger area than its package weight might suggest. The exact rate changes with the weed and use pattern; measure from the label table for that target.

The pasture decision depends on what should remain

Cimarron Plus is intended for grass stands, but some desirable broadleaf plants are sensitive to the active ingredients. A pasture manager should identify the target and the forage species before choosing the treatment. Clover and alfalfa, for example, can be injured. The product can be useful where listed invasive weeds are displacing grass, but is a poor fit when the objective is to retain sensitive forbs in the treated area.

A targeted option for persistent weeds

The label includes use patterns such as broadcast spray and spot treatment. Envu describes early use in establishing grass stands as another labeled role, distinct from postemergence control of weeds already growing. These options make Cimarron Plus useful across more than one stage of pasture management, but each purpose has its own label directions. The current Envu product and label govern crop rotation, timing, application method and restrictions for the intended field.

Growth inhibition differs from immediate browning

Both ingredients belong to Group 2, the ALS-inhibiting herbicides. Susceptible plants stop normal growth after uptake, while visible discoloration and decline can develop later. That distinction matters when assessing a pasture treatment: the first useful change may be reduced weed growth rather than an instantly brown field. The current label also separates weed control from suppression. A suppressed target is not a promise of complete elimination, especially where perennial plants can produce further growth.

Wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling and before eating, drinking, chewing gum, using tobacco, or using the toilet. PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE) Mixers, loaders, applicators, and other handlers must wear: • Long-sleeved shirt and long pants • Chemical Resistant Gloves made of any waterproof material such as polyethylene or polyvinylchloride • Shoes plus socks Follow manufacturer's instructions for cleaning/maintaining PPE. If no such instructions for washables exist, use detergent and hot water. Keep and wash PPE separately from other laundry. Engineering Control Statement: When handlers use closed systems, enclosed cabs, or aircraft in a manner that meets the requirements listed in the Worker Protection Standard (WPS) for agricultural pesticides [40 CFR 170.240(d)(4-6)], the handler PPE requirements may be reduced or modified as specified in the WPS. USER SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONS Users should wash hands before eating, drinking, chewing gum, using tobacco, or using the toilet. Users should remove clothing/PPE immediately if pesticide gets inside. Then wash thoroughly and put on clean clothing. Users should remove PPE immediately after handling this product. Wash the outside of gloves before removing. As soon as possible, wash thoroughly and change into clean clothing. ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARDS Do not apply directly to water, or to areas where surface water is present or to intertidal areas below the mean high water mark. Do not contaminate water when disposing of equipment washwater or rinsate. GROUNDWATER ADVISORY Chlorsulfuron and metsulfuron-methyl are known to leach through soil into groundwater under certain conditions as a result of label use. This chemical may leach into groundwater if used in areas where soils are permeable, particularly where the water table is shallow. SURFACE WATER ADVISORY This product may impact surface water quality due to runoff of rain water. This is especially true for poorly draining soils and soils with shallow ground water. This product is classified as having high potential for reaching surface water via runoff for weeks after application. A level, well-maintained vegetative buffer strip between areas to which this product is applied and surface water features such as ponds, streams, and springs will reduce the potential loading of chlorsulfuron and metsulfu- ron-methyl from runoff water and sediment. Runoff of this product will be greatly reduced by avoiding applications when rainfall or irrigation is expected to occur within 48 hours. NON-TARGET ORGANISM ADVISORY This product is toxic to plants and may adversely impact the forage and habitat of non-target organ- isms, including pollinators, in areas adjacent to the treated area. Protect the forage and habitat of non-target organisms by minimizing spray drift. For further guidance and instructions on how to minimize spray drift, refer to the Spray Drift Management section of this label. WINDBLOWN SOIL PARTICLES ADVISORY CIMARRON® PLUS HERBICIDE has the potential to move off-site due to wind erosion. Soils that are subject to wind erosion usually have a high silt and/or fine to very fine sand fractions and low organic matter content. Other factors which can affects the movement of windblown soil include the intensity and direction of prevailing winds, vegetative cover, site slope, rainfall, and drainage patterns. Avoid applying CIMARRON ® PLUS HERBICIDE if prevailing local conditions may be expected to result in off-site movement.

AGRICULTURAL USE REQUIREMENTS Use this product only in accordance with its labeling and with the Worker Protection Standard, 40 CFR part 170. This Standard contains requirements for the protection of agricultural workers on farms, forests, nurseries, and greenhouses, and handlers of agricultural pesticides. It contains requirements for training, decontamination, notification, and emergency assistance. It also contains specific instructions and exceptions pertaining to the statements on this label about personal protective equipment (PPE) and restricted-entry interval. The requirements in this box only apply to uses of this product that are covered by the Worker Protection Standard.

Do not enter or allow worker entry into treated areas during the restricted entry interval (REI) of 4 hours.

PPE required for early entry to treated areas that is permitted under the Worker Protection Standard and that involves contact with anything that has been treated, such as plants, soil, or water, is:
