Ferti-lome Indoor/Outdoor Multi-Purpose Insect Spray

Ferti-lome Indoor/Outdoor Multi-Purpose Insect Spray is a water-based permethrin aerosol for targeted insect control around the home and garden. It covers listed indoor pests, select insects on ornamental plants and flea, tick and lice care for dogs. The same can serves several jobs, but each job has its own directions. Match the pest and treatment site before spraying.

For indoor work, use the section that matches the insect. Flying insects call for a room treatment. Roaches, silverfish, crickets, spiders and similar crawlers are treated at hiding places such as cracks, baseboards and plumbing areas. Stored-food pests have separate room instructions, including how long the space should remain closed. That distinction helps keep the spray focused on where the insects are found instead of coating every surface.

The aerosol is ready to use, so there is no mixing step. Hold it upright, keep the nozzle moving, and apply only enough to dampen the surface. Avoid runoff. Before treating a fabric or finish, test an inconspicuous spot and let it dry. Food, dishes, aquariums and pets need the precautions printed for the particular treatment. Outdoor use has further limits on hard surfaces and areas that could drain toward water.

Garden use is for listed plants and pests, not broad spraying across a bed. Keep the can at the required distance from foliage and use short bursts. Tender leaves and new growth can be damaged by overapplication, especially in hot weather. Contact with the insect matters, so direct the spray where pests are present and stop if the conditions fall outside the directions.

The dog directions are a separate use. They cover adult fleas, ticks and lice on dogs older than twelve weeks, with restrictions for animals that are medicated, ill, aged, pregnant or nursing. The spray is not for cats. Keep this can for the listed sites and species; it is not a general treatment for every pet, crop or outdoor surface.
