Hi-Yield Bug Blaster II Turf Insect Control Granules is a bifenthrin treatment for listed insects in lawns and landscaped areas. Its listed sites include residential, institutional, public, commercial and industrial building perimeters, parks, recreation areas and athletic fields. The dry granular formula suits broadcast use across turf where an even application is needed. Target pests include ants, imported fire ants, ticks, mole crickets, chinch bugs, fleas and other listed turf insects.
Start with the area and pest. The rate varies by target. Armyworms, cutworms and sod webworms use a lower table rate than ants, ticks and mole crickets. Pillbugs and sowbugs have a separate rate. These differences matter when calculating the amount for a lawn. Do not use one familiar setting or quantity across every insect on the property.
Use a suitable granular spreader and aim for uniform coverage of the measured area. Calibrate equipment over a known section, watch how much product is applied and adjust the setting as needed. Square footage and target insect determine the rate. Record the area before beginning so the application stays within the applicable per-treatment and yearly limits for that site.
Water the treated area as directed for the particular insect. Some pests have a specific irrigation instruction to release material from the granules. Do not water to runoff, and do not apply during rain. Avoid places where runoff could reach drains or surface water. These steps matter around sloped lawns, driveways and perimeter strips.
Bug Blaster II is for turf and listed landscaped sites. Use it around the listed residential and nonresidential buildings, parks, recreation areas and athletic fields. It is not for golf courses, sod farms, nurseries, commercial greenhouses or grass grown for seed. Residential and nonresidential treatment limits differ. Identify the site, pest and measured area before opening the bag, then keep the full package directions on hand during setup and application. The dry granular format is suited to larger outdoor areas where broadcast application is appropriate and the target can be matched to the pest table.
