A 32 fl oz hose-end insecticide with three active ingredients for listed outdoor pests and a label-defined lawn area.

Three active ingredients for outdoor pest control

Martin’s Mosquito Pro combines lambda-cyhalothrin, novaluron and pyriproxyfen. The label assigns the ingredients to different insecticide groups: a pyrethroid for adult insects and two insect growth regulators that affect immature stages. This combination is intended for outdoor pest programs where both adult activity and developing insects matter. The label covers mosquitoes and many other insects, with separate directions for public-health pests and other listed targets.

A hose-end 32-ounce format

The Ready-to-Spray bottle attaches to a garden hose and applies diluted product to outdoor lawns, turfgrass and ornamental plants. The manufacturer label gives distinct coverage amounts by pest category, including up to 8,000 square feet for public-health pests and up to 12,000 square feet for other listed pests. Scorpion control has its own lower coverage. These are label-specific coverage limits, not one universal estimate for every application.

Use the target list and method together

The label lists mosquitoes, ticks, ants, cockroaches, Japanese beetles, aphids, whiteflies, leaf-feeding caterpillars and many other pests. Application method varies: lawn coverage is not the same as a thorough foliar spray on ornamentals or a residual treatment on building surfaces. For ornamental pests, the label directs thorough coverage of leaves and branches. Check the specific pest section before selecting the area and application pattern.

A useful fit for yard and shrub treatments

The hose-end bottle suits a homeowner or grounds operator treating a defined outdoor area without mixing from a concentrate. Martin’s also identifies its combination of adult-control and growth-regulator ingredients as part of its broad outdoor control approach. Use early when populations are low where the label recommends it, and time certain pests such as bagworms to larval hatch according to the directions. The label does not authorize treating breeding water.

Adult control and developing insects

Lambda-cyhalothrin is the Group 3A pyrethroid component. Novaluron is in Group 15 and pyriproxyfen in Group 7C, the two insect growth-regulator components. These ingredients bring different effects on insect development into the same product. An outdoor population can contain more than one life stage, which explains the formulation, but does not mean every stage of every listed pest is controlled in every location.

Timing can be pest-specific

Bagworms illustrate why the target matters: the label relates treatment to larval hatch, when the susceptible insects are still small. Mosquito treatment uses its own area-coverage directions. An ornamental application instead needs thorough coverage of leaves and branches where the listed insects occur. The hose-end attachment supplies an application format for those jobs; it does not eliminate their differences or turn the bottle into a treatment for standing water where mosquitoes may breed.

Avoid contact with skin or clothing. Wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling and before eating, drinking, chewing gum, using tobacco, or using the toilet. ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARDS This product is extremely toxic to fish and aquatic invertebrates. To protect the environment, DO NOT allow pesticide to enter or run off into storm drains, drainage ditches, gutters, or surface waters. Applying this product in calm weather when rain is not predicted for the next 24 hours will help ensure that wind or rain does not blow or wash pesticide off the treatment area. Rinsing application equipment over the treated area will help avoid runoff to water bodies or drainage systems. Drift and runoff from treated areas may be hazardous to aquatic organisms in neighboring areas. Apply this product only as specified on this label. This product is highly toxic to bees exposed to direct treatment or residues on blooming crops or weeds. DO NOT apply this product or allow it to drift to blooming crops or weeds if bees are foraging the treatment area. PHYSICAL-CHEMICAL HAZARDS Do not mix or allow coming in contact with Oxidizing agents. Hazardous chemical reaction may occur.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE It is a violation of federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling. In New York State, this product may not be applied to lawns within 100 ft. of a coastal marsh, or stream that drains directly into a coastal marsh. IMPORTANT: Not for use on plants being grown for sale or other commercial use, or for commercial seed production, or for research purposes. For use on plants intended for aesthetic purposes or climatic modification and being grown in interior plantscapes, ornamental gardens or parks, or on lawns or grounds. SPRAY DRIFT ADVISORIES THE APPLICATOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR AVOIDING OFF-SITE SPRAY DRIFT. BE AWARE OF NEARBY NON-TARGET SITES AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS. TEMPERATURE INVERSIONS Drift potential is high during a temperature inversion. Temperature inversions are characterized by increasing temperature with altitude and are common on nights with limited cloud cover and light to no wind. The presence of an inversion can be indicated by ground fog or by the movement of smoke from a ground source or an aircraft smoke generator. Smoke that layers and moves laterally in a concentrated cloud (under low wind conditions) indicates an inversion, while smoke that moves upward and rapidly dissipates indicates good vertical air mixing. Avoid applications during temperature inversions. WIND Drift potential generally increases with wind speed. AVOID APPLICATIONS DURING GUSTY WIND CONDITIONS. Applicators need to be familiar with local wind patterns and terrain that could affect spray drift. Handheld Technology Applications: • Take precautions to minimize spray drift USE RESTRICTIONS • DO NOT use this product with oil. • DO NOT allow children or pets to contact treated surfaces until spray has dried. Remove pets prior to spraying treatment area. • DO NOT apply this product to edible growing crops or stored raw agricultural commodities used for food or feed. • DO NOT allow applications to contact water inhabited by fish, such as in aquariums and ornamental fish ponds that are located in/ around structures being treated. • DO NOT water the treated area to the point of runoff during application. • DO NOT make applications during rain. • DO NOT spray into the air; only spray onto the specific use sites. • DO NOT apply this product in or around bodies of water. • DO NOT apply directly to sewers or drains, or to any area where drainage to sewers, storm drains, water bodies, or aquatic habitat can occur, except as directed by this label. • Applications to building foundations are RESTRICTED to a maximum height of 2 ft. above the soil line. • DO NOT apply more than once every 14 days. Additional Application Restrictions for Residential Outdoor Surface and Space Sprays: • All outdoor applications must be limited to spot or crack and crevice treatments only, except for the following permitted uses: 1. Applications to soil or vegetation around structure; 2. Applications to lawns, turf, and other vegetation; 3. Applications to building foundations, up to a maximum height of 2 feet above grade; 4. Applications to underside of eaves, soffits, doors, or windows permanently protected from rainfall by a covering, overhang, awning or other structure; 5. Applications around potential pest entry points into buildings, when limited to a surface band not to exceed one inch in width; 6. Applications made through the use of a coarse, low pressure spray to only those portions of surfaces that are directly above bare soil, lawn, turf, mulch or other vegetation, as listed on this label, and not over an impervious surface, drainage or other condition that could result in runoff into storm drains, drainage ditches, gutters, or surface waters, in order to control occasional invaders or aggregating pests. 7. Spot treatments must not exceed two square feet in size (for example, 2 ft. by 1 ft. or 4 ft. by 0.5 ft.)
