How the trap catches stink bugs

Green fins guide stink bugs toward the cone, which leads into the clear capture chamber. Multiple pheromone attractants draw them toward the trap, then the funnel shape keeps captured insects inside until they dehydrate. The transparent chamber lets you check whether anything has entered without opening the trap. This is a reusable monitoring and capture device for observed stink bug activity around gardens, fruit trees, and other vegetation. It does not need liquid bait or a spray mixture.

Place it where bugs are moving

Set the trap near plants or fruit trees where stink bugs have been seen. Keep the green approach fins open to the insects, with enough clearance that foliage or stored items do not block the route into the cone. The attractant has a stated 30-foot radius, which narrows the placement area without making every spot equally useful. Choose a point within range of observed activity and keep the approach fins clear.

Keep the lure on schedule

The included attractant is rated for about four weeks. Note its installation date, then replace it when that interval ends. Use captures beside crop observations, not as a stand-in for inspecting leaves or fruit. The chamber shows that insects entered this trap; it cannot measure every stink bug in the garden. Keeping that distinction in mind helps you decide whether a capture change reflects trap placement, lure age, or broader insect activity.

For indoor cold-season use

Indoor fall or winter use calls for the separate blue LED, which is not included. Place the lighted trap in an attic or another dark area where stink bugs overwinter. The insects must see the LED to be drawn to it; they will not come from another room or floor. Keep it away from competing lights so the trap remains visible in the dark space. The indoor setup is meant to catch bugs before they enter living areas. For garden and fruit-tree activity, use the green fins outdoors.
