Fly season finds every corner of the barn and the pens. A water trap only pulls flies while it has fresh bait, and these pods take the mixing and measuring out of the job. Drop a pod into the trap, add clean water, and the attractant goes to work.

Four attractants pull the filth-breeding flies that gather around livestock: house flies, blow flies, flesh flies, blue and green bottle flies, dump flies and dung flies. The pods fit the Fly Terminator Pro, the Captivator and other reusable water-based traps, so the trap you already hang keeps working instead of being replaced. Why a reusable water trap and fresh attractant

A reusable water trap is a long-term fly tool. You hang it once and keep it baited through the season. The attractant is what draws flies to the trap, so a fresh pod each time you rebait is what keeps the trap doing its job.

Flies gather where animals and waste are. This product is meant for residential, commercial, institutional and agricultural areas, including livestock and other animal facilities where house flies are a problem. Set the trap outside, close to the pens, the manure pile or the animal shelter, where the flies already are.

How to use it

1. Use traps outdoors only. Not for indoor use.
2. Open the zipper pouch, take out the pods you need, and reseal it right away. Handle the pods with dry hands or gloves.
3. Do not open the pods. For a half-gallon trap, drop in one pod and add one quart of clean water to activate it. For a gallon-sized trap, use two pods and add one-half gallon of clean water.
4. Replace the trap top securely, and hang or place the trap outside near a fly source.
5. Empty the trap and rebait when it dries out or fills with flies, or after 30 days, whichever comes first.
6. Wash your hands with soap and water after handling.

Good to know

• Use the pods soon after you open the pouch, and keep them dry while you handle them.
• Store in the original container in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place, out of reach of children, pets and livestock.
• Pouches are nonrefillable. Don't reuse or refill one. Put an empty pouch in the trash, or recycle it where recycling is offered.
• Never pour unused product down any indoor or outdoor drain.
• Flies breed in manure and wet waste, so cleaning those up is half the job. Pair the trap with a clean-up routine for pens and feed areas.
