Fly season builds fast in a barn. One warm week and the flies that were a nuisance in early spring are on feed buckets, stall doors and every sunny wall. QuikStrike gets ahead of that. It is a ready-to-use scatter bait that pulls house flies and nuisance flies in and knocks them down with dinotefuran.
Scatter it outdoors around the outside of milking parlors, broiler houses and kennels where animals and children can't reach it, or load a fly bait station. The use sites cover residential, commercial, institutional and agricultural structures, including livestock facilities.

Why bait, and why this kind
Spraying the flies you can see is a losing race. The next generation breeds in manure, spilled feed and wet bedding, out of sight. A bait goes after the adult flies, which feed on it, so fewer adults are around to lay the next round of eggs.
Scatter baits cover the open ground where flies gather in the shade and along low walls. Bait stations put the bait to work in stables, broiler houses, loafing sheds, swine facilities and feedlots, mounted where animals and children can't reach them. It suits any farm with house fly pressure in the warm months.

How to use it
Scatter the granules evenly on dry surfaces outdoors at 1/4 pound per 500 square feet, and don't leave them in piles. Never scatter it indoors, near feed or water, or anywhere poultry, dogs, calves or other animals can pick it up or lick it.
For bait stations, secure each one at least 4 feet above the ground, out of reach of food-producing animals, pets and children. Use one station per 250 square feet with up to 2 ounces of bait, and refill as the bait is eaten.
- Read the directions for the sites and rates before you open the container.
- Wash your hands after handling bait, and keep the lid closed between uses.
Good to know
- Pair it with fly traps and a fly strip for the dark corners the bait misses.
- Remove manure on a regular schedule and pick up spilled feed. Flies breed in wet, rotting material, so less of it means fewer flies to bait.
- Store the container tightly closed, somewhere dry and cool, away from feed and out of reach of children and animals.
Swap out bait that has soaked through or clumped, because wet bait is no help to anyone.
