More from Stryker

Something is crawling in the pantry or the storage room, and you need to know what it is before you pick a treatment. Stryker 54 is the can that brings the problem out where you can see it. Its injector flushes insects out of cracks and crevices, so the ants, roaches or bed bugs you were hunting show themselves and you can treat them with a clear target.

It works as a contact spray or a space spray, indoors or outdoors, so one can covers the house, the garage and the storage room. The 360-degree valve lets you aim from overhead, under a bench or behind a bin, and the straw applicator puts the spray into the crack itself instead of onto the wall around it. It controls a wide range of crawling and flying insects, including ants, bed bugs, cockroaches, flies, mosquitoes, spiders and wasps.

Highlights

  • Fast knockdown and kill on crawling and flying insects
  • Injector flushes pests out of cracks and crevices
  • Works as a contact spray or a space spray
  • 360-degree valve sprays from awkward angles
  • Straw applicator puts spray where you point it
  • Dissipates quickly after treatment

What it's for

Most pest trouble on a farm hides where you can't see it: behind baseboards, along the seams of pantry shelves and deep in the cracks of an old storage room. A spray that flushes insects out does two jobs at once. It brings them into view, so you know how big the problem is and where it's coming from, and it puts a knockdown spray on them while they're out in the open.

Bed bugs are the other reason many people keep a can on hand. They hide in seams, tufts and the joints of furniture, so a straw that reaches into a crack is a real help when you're checking a bed you don't trust.

It suits the household that wants one ready can for ants and roaches around the house and garage, and the operator who would rather find the nest than guess at it.

How to use it

Shake the can well before each use.

  1. Shake well, then use the straw for cracks and the fan spray for open areas.
  2. Spray into the crack or along the hiding spot and watch what comes out, so you can see the source.
  3. Use the 360-degree valve to reach overhead, under a bench or behind equipment.
  4. Use it only when the can is warmer than 60 degrees. Before you spray, remove pets and birds, cover fish tanks and turn off their air pumps, and cover or remove food, dishes and drinking water. After a space spray, keep the room closed for 15 minutes, then air it out well before anyone goes back in.
  5. Read and follow the directions on the can for the sites and insects it covers.

Keep spray off blooming crops and weeds while bees are foraging, and don't spray toward water.

Good to know

  • Store the can at room temperature, away from direct sun and heat, since aerosols can burst when they get too hot.
  • Keep it away from heat, sparks and open flame, and never puncture or burn an empty can.
  • Wash your hands with soap and water after each use, and change clothes if spray gets on them.
  • Pair it with fly traps or a fly spray from the same aisle when flies are the bigger job.
