Some jobs need a weed killer that does not fuss. Hi-Yield Super Concentrate Killzall Weed and Grass Killer is a non-selective concentrate for clearing growth along fences, in paths, around patios, along curbs and where driveways meet the yard.
It has a double-surfactant formula, so it sticks to foliage and dries on plants quickly. It works through the leaves down to the roots, and it will not move in or on the soil to untreated plants. Rain fast in 2 hours. For best results, reapply if rainfall or watering occurs within 24 hours.
Highlights
- Non-selective: kills the vegetation it contacts
- Double-surfactant formula that dries on plants fast
- Mixes with water for targeted weed control
- Use along fences, paths, patios, curbs and driveways
- Works on brush, vines and stumps, and in lawn renovation
Why choose a concentrate for clearing edges
A concentrate lets you set the strength for each job. A light weed patch takes the general rate, and a tough brush line takes the stronger one.
It suits the homeowner clearing a gravel drive edge, the farm hand cleaning a fence line and the gardener starting a new bed. Weeds are easiest to kill while they are young and actively growing, before the seed heads form, on a warm sunny day when temperatures are above 60 degrees.

How to use it
Pick the mix for the weeds in front of you, and read and follow label directions before you spray.
- General weed control: 3 tablespoons per gallon of water.
- Tough weeds and brush: 5 tablespoons per gallon of water.
- Spray until the foliage is thoroughly wet. One gallon of water treats about 300 square feet.
- Use a plastic, aluminum or stainless steel tank sprayer, or a hose-end sprayer. Do not use a galvanized or unlined steel sprayer, an irrigation system or a sprinkling can.
- Stumps: cut close to the soil surface, make 4 to 5 nail holes in the stump, and flood it with undiluted product within 5 minutes of cutting.
- Do not mow, cut or otherwise disturb treated vegetation for at least 7 days.
Good to know
Do not use it in lawns. It kills all green plants, including lawn grasses. For lawn renovation, wait 7 days after spraying, then rake, level and sow seed or lay sod.
Use a cardboard or plastic shield on desirable plants, spray only when the air is calm, and keep spray off the leaves, green stems and exposed roots of plants you want to keep. If spray lands on them, wash them with plenty of clean water right away.
Wait 21 days before eating fruit or nuts from trees, caneberries or grapevines treated for weeds.
Clean the sprayer by triple rinsing it with clean water and spraying the rinse on bare soil or gravel. Store the container in a cool, dry place away from heat or open flame, and protect it from freezing.
