A lawn that needs feeding and has broadleaf weeds needs both jobs done at once. Weed & Feed 15-0-10 combines lawn fertilizer with post-emergent broadleaf weed control, so one trip across the yard feeds the grass and goes after the dandelions and plantain.
The weed control is a Trimec complex of three herbicides, 2,4-D, MCPP-p and dicamba, working together on the weeds that crowd out a good lawn. It controls over 200 listed broadleaf weeds, roots and all, including dandelion, chickweed, plantain, knotweed, henbit and spurge.
Highlights
- Feeds the lawn and controls listed broadleaf weeds in one application
- Trimec complex of 2,4-D, MCPP-p and dicamba
- Controls dandelion, chickweed, knotweed, plantain, henbit and spurge
- Granular, for drop or broadcast spreaders
- For common lawns, including St. Augustinegrass, Bermudagrass, Zoysiagrass and fescue
Why feed and weed in one pass
It suits the homeowner whose lawn has dandelions and plantain coming up through spring, and the homeowner who wants to feed the lawn and clear the weeds in one trip. Timing matters: apply when weeds are young and actively growing, in calm air, and preferably in the morning when dew is on the grass.

How to use it
Feed and weed in one pass. Read and follow label directions before you spread.
- Mow the lawn to normal height 1 to 2 days before application.
- Water the lawn thoroughly at least 1 day before application, so moisture holds until the next watering.
- Spread when the air is calm. If the grass is not moist, sprinkle it lightly with water so the granules stick to the weed leaves.
- Spread with a drop or broadcast spreader. Put down half the product in one direction, then the other half at a right angle to the first pass. Set the spreader from the settings in the directions.
- Do not wash the weed leaves for 1 to 2 days after application. Then give the lawn a thorough watering.
Apply no more than 2 times a year, with at least 30 days between applications.
Good to know
Keep granules off clovers you want to keep, dichondra, newly seeded lawns, and exposed roots or the drip line of desirable trees and shrubs. Do not apply directly to or near water, storm drains, gutters, sewers or ditches.
Do not apply within 25 feet of rivers, fish ponds, lakes, streams, reservoirs or marshes. Do not apply when windy, and do not over-water to the point of runoff.
Keep people and pets out of the area during application, and off the lawn until dusts have settled. Keep granules out of vegetable and flower beds, and spread on a calm day so they land only on the lawn.
Store in the original container in a cool, dry place, with bags of unused product in a locked area out of reach of children and domestic animals. Empty containers cannot be refilled, so put them in the trash or recycling if available.
